Deep Search

Last updated 19 October 2026

Deep Search is an option on the People Also Ask search. A standard search clicks one level into Google's "People also ask" box. A Deep Search keeps clicking for three levels, so you typically get well over 100 questions for a topic from a single search.

How to run one

  1. Select People Also Ask on the New Search panel.
  2. Enter your topic and choose the language, country and city.
  3. Change the last dropdown from Standard Search (1 credit) to Deep Search (4 credits).
  4. Click Search (4 credits).

Deep Searches take longer than standard ones, often a minute or two, because of how many questions we have to click through. The result opens in the same Map and Data tabs. The only difference in the result is that the map's question nodes are not clickable, since the deeper levels are already there.

When to use it

  • You are planning a full article, guide or content hub on a topic and want every angle in one place.
  • You want to feed a large question set straight into Keyword Clustering or a Keyword List.
  • A standard search for a broad topic came back with a handful of generic questions and you need the specifics underneath them.

For quick checks and narrow questions a standard search is usually enough, and you can always click + on an individual question to dig into just that branch for 1 credit.

Cost and availability

  • 4 credits per Deep Search. The credit is refunded if nothing is found.
  • Available on the Lite, Standard, Pro and Unlimited plans. If the option is greyed out with "Upgrade to a paid plan to use Deep Search", your plan does not include it.
  • Deep Search is not available in Bulk Search, which always runs standard searches.
  • From the API, use GET /api/deep_search.
